Web access that comes with the toy allows kids to create rooms on line for their webkinz. I'm not sure how educational it is, but seems to be very enjoyable. Stuffed animal is nice and soft.

I bought this for my 7-year old -- she has other Webkinz animals and loves going online with them, setting up their rooms, buying them clothes, etc. She has enough stuffed animals to fill a truck, but wanted this one in particular because it looks like our real dog. Webkinz toys in general are good quality, but we have had some problems with them coming apart at the seams, even when brand new. With this one, the threads on the paws starting coming loose within days of receipt -- but she still loves him! The German Shepherd is retired -- we were happy to find him and he came in good condition as promised.

This is an adorable addition to the webkinz line and is a great life like looking toy to play with - very soft. I did not think I was going to want a German Sheppard but when I saw it in person it was much cuter than I had thought it would be and is just as cute and playful and fun online. It is a great addition for anyone who likes webkinz. Great for boys and girls and super for gift giving. Great bargain as it is 2 toys in one!!

These toys are educational and the fun never ends. You get not only a plush toy but a virtual one as well that your child (or you) can feed, dress and interact with. I have had to wash a few of these in the washing machine and they hold up pretty well. I don't throw it in the dryer, but let it air dry instead and that perks them right up. My children range from 1-11 and they all enjoy these pets so it's a good gift idea for a child whom you aren't sure of their interests.
